Anyway, I want to inform you that I am still working on my hand quilting project. I haven't worked a lot on that lately, but I am back on track now. It will take me a long time to get to the end of it, but there is no doubt I will get there.
With a little more time on my hands, I was able to check some fellow bloggers' posts and pay some attention to things that interest me. Right yesterday, I happened to find this blog and, as a result, started to make one 8" block with scraps. I had fun. I just got the scraps out of the box, no picking, just the way they came out, and made my block. While I was doing this, I realized my scraps were chaotically spread in several boxes and I did not even know what I had.
Soooo... today I got my boxes, went out to the deck to enjoy the nice weather we still have before the winter arrives, and dug in my scraps to my elbows. I found pieces of fabric that I did not remember at all! And I made a commitment: I will not buy any more fabric until I use all my scraps up. How about that?
Aunque puse aquí un par de cosas que hice últimamente, ha habido un tiempo bastante improductivo en mi mundo de costura. ¿Por qué? Bueno, hay otro mundo fuera de este, un mundo de trabajo para ganarse la vida y poder seguir comprando telas para mi propio uso y para mantener mi tienda Etsy, que todavía no me ha hecho millonaria (por cierto, os invito a visitarla y, quizá, encontrar algo sin lo que no os podéis pasar, je, je).
Quiero informaros de que aún estoy trabajando en mi labor de acolchado a mano. No he hecho mucho últimamente, pero estoy otra vez con ella. Me llevará mucho tiempo llegar al final, pero no hay duda de que llegaré.
Con un poco más de tiempo en mis manos, He podido leer las entradas de algunas de mis compañeras blogueras y prestar atención a cosas que me interesan. Justo ayer, encontré este blog y, como resultado, empecé un bloque de 8 pulgadas con trocitos sobrantes de tela. Me divertí. Simplemente, saqué los retalitos de la caja, sin elegir, tal y como iban saliendo, e hice mi bloque. Mientras lo hacía, me dí cuenta de que mis retalitos se esparcían caóticamente por varias cajas y yo ni siquiera sabía lo que tenía.
Así que... hoy he cogido mis cajas, he salido a la terraza a disfrutar el buen tiempo que todavía tenemos antes de que llegue el invierno, y me he hundido en mis retalitos hasta los codos. ¡He encontrado trozos de tela que no recordaba en absoluto! Y me he comprometido a una cosa: no compraré más tela hasta que haya usado todos mis sobrantes. ¿Cómo lo veis?
