Broken Promises - Promesas rotas

I know, I know, not that long ago (just a couple of days, maybe), I had made the commitment not to buy any more fabric until I use all my scraps. But, as we say in Spain, flesh is weak.
There was a sign in this house on the way to Spearfish, they were selling everything as they were moving. Just for the sake of it, with no money in our pockets, we went to look at it. Curiosity. And there they were, these two pieces, calling me. The one with blue stripes is like a place mat in canvas and has some beads on the ends. The green floral is a linen table running. Of course, I did not buy them for their use, but for the fabric. 25 cents each, who could have left them there?
